This unique piece in white gold depicts a puma poised to spring, having been surprised in its forest hideout. It pays homage to this large feline of North and South America. To reproduce on the case back this big cat quivering with life, the marquetry-maker cut out and assembled 276 tiny veneer parts and a remarkable 80 even smaller inlays, together representing a palette of 35 species of wood in different colors, textures and veining.
